It's that time of year again
Well, my favorite and least favorite time of year is just around the bend. Wonderful, beautiful, amazing.........Autum :o) . I love the smell of the crisp air, the cooling breeze and just the whole feel of that season all together. BUT, (there is always a but isn't there) something else happens at this time of year that I could never get used to no matter how many times it happens.
My oldest son is going into grade 6 and he is growing up sooooo fast. I'm going to miss him when he goes to his dad's for the year. To explain a little more, my ex and I have been sharing custody of our son for the past 10 years and he has been living one year with me and one year with his Dad. I live in Ontario and his father lives in New Brunswick. Most people thought that it was not a great idea to do this but........our son actually enjoys the swapping. He gets the best of both worlds this way. Even though I miss him more and more every year, I know his dad takes very good care of him and I never have to worry about his health or well being. My ex gives me the same respect when his year rolls around without our son. My husband works for Air Canada and we fly practically for free so we get to see him many times throughout the year when he is with his father. We offer this great oppertunity to my ex when Korey (my son) is living with us. It's a nice arrangement and our son enjoys it but my heart breaks in a million pieces every time he leaves. We are going to miss him sooooo much. I hate my favorite time of year.......*sigh*.
On a lighter note, my little 4 year old is starting JK this September. I can't get over how fast time flies. It seems like just yesterday he was learning how to walk....well, shimmy really ;o). <-a little inside joke----teehee. But, I am so excited to show him where his big brother has been going every morning for the past year :o). We got him his very own, brand new backpack (spiderman of course) and he wears it every day. We don't even know if he needs one for JK but my husband is just as excited as he is and brought him out to get a new backpack for school. LOL Another baby turning into a boy...(woah is me) :o).
Here I go rambling again.........sorry about that. But thanks for listening while I vent......again.lol Well, I gotta go and post my workout :oD.
Until my next post......
Take care,
Jenni
